Our
Approaches

Healing can happen through connection, and with the understanding that you already have the strength and wisdom within you to create meaningful change. Our role is helping to support our practitioners to help you in reconnecting with your inner self and those around you in ways that feel safe, empowering, and authentic.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen family bonds, improve communication, navigate transitions, or simply better understand yourself, you can find someone who offers a personalized approach to counselling, specific for you. Our space is inclusive of all identities, cultures, and walks of life.

What to Expect

Our space is rooted in creating a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where you can slow down, breathe, and be fully seen and heard. We work collaboratively with other practitioners who support your goals; whether that’s finding clarity, building resilience, or cultivating deeper relationships.

Find
Your True Self

Counselling is more than problem-solving - it’s about coming home to yourself. It’s a journey of rediscovery: uncovering your true voice, your passion, your peace - your song. We offer spaces where independent practitioners employ a variety of approaches, so that your healing experience feels personal and aligned with who you are.

Whether you’re drawn to counselling (in-person or online), creative arts therapies or group sessions, our hope is you find a practitioner and space that speaks to you. There’s no one-size-fits-all path - just the one that feels right for you.

Let’s Begin Together

At Montreal Integrated Therapy and Wellness Centre, we’re passionate about providing a stable and safe space where practitioners can work with their clients to help them rediscover what it means to feel connected, whole, and well. If you’re ready to take that first step, we invite you to find someone who you connect with.  Practitioners are ready to meet you with open hearts and open minds.

Our Core Values

Empowering Healing Journeys

At Montreal Integrated Therapy and Wellness Centre, our work is rooted in empathy, compassion and safety in our space. We believe healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and cared for, and that begins with a feeling of safety in your environment.

We see the value in every person and the needs they carry. Our goal is to honour yours in a space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment. We know that reaching out takes courage and trust. That’s why we aim to show up with honesty, reliability, and genuine care. We’re here to support both our practitioners and you, so you can receive the care you need and deserve, with warmth, respect and care.

We’re proud to serve a beautifully diverse city. Our commitment to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity means we welcome and honour all identities, backgrounds, and experiences into our space. Everyone deserves to feel like they belong.

Natasha Edwards, MA, CCC

Creative Arts Therapist, Counsellor

In a world that is messy and heavy, how do we give voice to the pain while savouring the little joys, even when it feels impossible?  With over 7 years of experience supporting stroke survivors and 3 specialized years as a trauma-informed counsellor and creative arts therapist, I offer you a space to slow down.

My primary experience lies in supporting clients of all ages navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship and emotional expression challenges, identity exploration, and immigration experiences.

By leaning into play and the restorative magic of human connection, we work to heal relational wounds and build a deeper bridge between the mind and body—whether you are a child, teen or adult - you deserve to feel a true sense of agency.

I have diverse training in drama therapy, therapeutic play, child-parent therapy, relational needs and motivational interviewing. This allows me to tailor each session to meet your unique needs.

We will approach your story with curiosity, giving voice to the difficult things to ensure you feel seen, heard, and empowered to navigate life with intention.

Laura Shearer, MA

Creative Arts Therapist, Drama Therapy

Reaching out for support takes courage, especially when you're feeling overwhelmed. My goal is to create a warm, trusting space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

I work with both children and adults using a collaborative, strengths-based approach that affirms LGBTQ and neurodivergent experiences. Together, we’ll explore limiting beliefs, life challenges, and new ways to reconnect with joy, confidence, and creativity. As a drama therapist, I often incorporate storytelling, movement, art, or play - no experience needed - offering unique ways to explore what words alone can't express.

I also specialize in supporting children ages 3-7 through life transitions, emotional expression, and relationship challenges using Child-Centered Play Therapy. These sessions provide a safe, engaging space for kids to feel understood and thrive.

Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or creative self-expression, I’m here to support your journey.

Christina Kara, BSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker

Life is full of transitions, challenges, and moments that ask us to reconnect with who we are and what matters most. As a clinical social worker, I strive to create a space where you feel seen, safe, and supported, a place to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed and relational lens, recognizing how systems, identity, and lived experience shape our emotional worlds. My approach centers on a mutual exchange of wisdom: I bring professional knowledge and tools, while you bring the deep knowing of your own life. Together, we collaborate to uncover new ways of understanding and living that honor your story and strengths.

With a decade of experience, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients navigating anxiety, depression, relational challenges, life transitions, bereavement, and the complexities of caregiving. Informed by Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) modalities, I help clients build skills to move toward clarity, compassion, and meaningful change.

My practice is human-centered and culturally responsive, rooted in cultural safety and inclusivity. I am committed to creating an affirming space for all people and those from diverse backgrounds. Everyone is welcome here; this is a space to hold you through times of uncertainty, transformation, and healing.

You don’t have to navigate life’s transitions alone. Together, we can work toward living a life that feels fuller, freer, and more aligned with who you truly are.

Rosie Moore, BSW, MA

Creative Arts Therapist, Drama Therapy

**Currently not accepting clients**

With a foundation in both theater and social work, I have built my career on the belief that storytelling and creativity hold the power to heal, transform, and connect communities. My early work in social justice theater revealed how collective creativity can spark truth, resistance, and social change, a realization that continues to guide my practice today.

Bringing together my passions for theater and social work, I found my home in drama therapy - an approach that integrates clinical insight with the healing potential of the arts. My clinical experience includes supporting survivors and perpetrators of domestic and gender-based violence, working alongside people living with HIV, and creating arts-based spaces for grief work.

I strive to hold space with openness, compassion, and cultural humility, centering the creative process as a pathway to resilience, healing, and reclaiming voice. A recent graduate of Concordia’s Drama Therapy program, I am continuing my journey through further studies in naturopathy and clinical counselling, deepening my commitment to integrative approaches to health and well-being.

Nathaniel Nurse, MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker

Many people experience moments when their thoughts and experiences feel overwhelming or difficult to understand. With over 10 years of experience, I support clients navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-doubt, life transitions, and the often complex process of making sense of their inner world.

My goal is to offer a safe and supportive space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard. When emotional and psychological safety are present, therapy can become a place for deeper self-exploration and a greater understanding of yourself and your experiences.

I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. Depending on what you’re navigating, I may draw from humanistic, strengths-based, motivational, and solution-focused therapies, as well as spiritual or culturally sensitive approaches when meaningful to you. Together, we’ll explore what lies beneath the surface, identify underlying patterns, develop practical coping tools, and work toward greater clarity, resilience, and personal growth.
