Drama Therapy
Drama therapy is a form of Creative Arts Therapy that uses theater techniques, creativity, and playfulness to support clients' healing and growth. This action-oriented, embodied approach goes beyond words, helping people process their self-perceptions and navigate challenging life experiences. During a session, drama therapists invite clients to engage in activities like storytelling, role-playing, playful games, movement, puppet work, or creating masks and other objects. Using the body and imagination in a safe, non-judgmental space opens up possibilities for shifts in perspective and deeper self-discovery. Drama therapy doesn’t require any prior theater experience—it's not just for actors, and you don't need to feel "good" at art! The joy and benefits of creativity and playfulness are accessible to anyone, at any age.
Drama therapy has been successfully used with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds. However, it is not considered a form of psychotherapy in the province of Quebec, so drama therapists cannot provide formal diagnoses.
Child-Centered Play Therapy
Play is the language of children," and children naturally express their inner worlds and practice new skills through play. In Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), your child leads their play and processes their experiences in a developmentally appropriate way. The counselor uses specific types of responses to create a safe, consistent environment that respects a child's autonomy and offers therapeutic benefits through unconditional positive regard.

The therapist interacts with the child with a philosophy of acceptance and unconditional belief in their ability to grow and discover their unique healing path. During sessions, the child chooses the activities. Toys in the playroom are specifically selected to empower a wide range of expression and exploration.
